ServiceTrace-Client (STC)

ServiceTrace-Client can execute simulate single transactions right up to complete, complex business processes.

The servicetrace solution

ServiceTrace supports all applications, including: Web, terminal server (eg, Citrix, MS Terminal Server, etc) and legacy mainframe applications. The scripting language used by ServiceTrace-Client utilizes scripting modules, which can be deployed to standardize the measurement procedures within the organization. Thus, changes to procedures within applications or business processes can be accommodated with minimal effort.

The simple, powerful scripting language enables you to measure and manage all of your services - regardless of whether they are legacy, contemporary, turnkey or bespoke. LEFT: Easily define and control all your processes - as projects. The powerful, intuitive interface enables you to quickly adapt existing workflows and projects, or create whole new ones.

The software generates real time alerts by individually customizable rules and sends them to the assigned addresses via email, traps, SNMP, and SMS, under the control of your preferred escalation schema process.

The system integrates with all current system management solutions and event management consoles. When operating any application the ServiceTrace-Client measures their availability and true response times. Additionally, it is capable of monitoring network paths and DNS services end-to-end from its location. For optimum alert processing - e.g. in case a threshold value is about to be exceeded - ServiceTrace-Client can send SNMP traps or emails to a centralized monitor. ServiceTrace-Clients are installed on dedicated PCs at the location of the users. The operation of the application software is executed via a script, which is centrally distributed from the TraceManagement-Server.

STC Client

The ServiceTrace-Client comprises:

STC-Picture-Searching

This unique capability enables application performance optimization for the end-user experience to be taken to a whole new level. STC-Picture-Searching enables the detailed analysis of today's typically highly graphical applications, as experienced by the end-user. The trend towards even more graphical applications continues to accelerate, particularly with many web-based services being used in day-to-day business. For a true understanding of the actual end-user experience It is vital that any graphics and pictures are captured and understood as data, so they can be measured, analyzed and tuned for optimum performance.

STC-WorkflowEditor

Understanding exactly how your existing and planned processes work means significant efficiency savings can be achieved. STC-WorkflowEditor is a simple, powerful way to create End-to-End process measurements. The intuitive GUI uniquely allows the user to easily create new measurements via simple drag and drop actions. Wizards prompt the user through the steps required to create a comprehensive WorkFlow test. The subsequent graphical measurements also serve as the process documentation. It is simple to modify with new steps, or to add additional process requirements, so supporting any changes in the environment being measured.

STC-Protector

Guarantee accurate measurement data and benefit from a clear understanding of the real end-user experience. STC-Protector is a parallel function of STC, protecting against interruptions from Windows pop-ups or other such end-user interruptions. Within a fraction of a second, STC-Protector manages the pop-up exception, so the measurement of the end-user experience will not be distorted by such events. With STC-Protector, the integrity of the measurement results and subsequent reports is assured, even in complex environments with centralized desktop management solutions in place.

STC-Guard

Enabling significant savings in time and effort, automating and accelerating (for example) test cycles, STC-Guard is a unique approach to intelligent error handling, automatically adapting to previously undefined measurement situations. Regardless of (eg) an application failing, a terminal session closing, or a system-update being applied, STC-Guard forces the application's GUI to return to a pre-defined state, so the measurements can re-commence from a defined zero point. The administrator can easily define the number of re-tries before STC-Guard declares an error alert condition. Such scenarios are particularly typical during regression testing.
